Hi, I’m Kianna Brown, founder of Culinary IV.

This brand was born from a simple realization ... the community was missing from the nail industry.

As a nail technician of 6 years, founder, and woman who deeply values quality, I noticed there were very few go-to Black-owned nail salons in the area. In a sea of salon suites, spaces that felt elevated, innovative, connected, and, let’s be honest, worth it were washing away.

I saw how the nail industry had been getting dusted creatively, especially when compared to beauty sectors like makeup and hair, where storytelling, community, branding, and experience are just as important as the service or product itself.

Let’s change that.

Inspired by the way we naturally gather over food and drinks, Culinary IV reimagines the nail salon experience as a space for community. Nails become the setting. Conversation flows. Drinks are raised, time slows down, and the experience finally matches the value because it is no secret that beauty is a luxury service with a luxury price tag.

Looking ahead, Culinary IV is on its way to a brick-and-mortar salon in Metro Atlanta and the DMV by Spring 2027. Designed like a modern lounge, the space will go beyond nail filing and paint. It will host events, educate clients, collaborate with creatives, and actively serve the surrounding community. A salon built not just to beautify our hands, but to bring our people together.
